Philipp Otter

Philipp is a German expert in adapted water technologies for developing regions. He is a shareholder of AUTARCON GmbH and employed as a project coordinator since 2012. He has led several international research and development projects on off-grid drinking and waste water treatment in India, Nepal, Tanzania and Egypt. Philipp is part of the organizing committee of the “International Conference on Solar Energy Solutions for Electricity and Water Supply in Rural Areas” in Cairo. As a member of AUTARCON he holds the “IWU - Award for Innovation in Climate and Environment (2013)” as well as the “Intersolar Award (2011)”. Philipp holds and M.Sc. from Kassel University in the field of Environmental Engineering. He conducts his PhD research at Dresden University of Applied Science and TU Dresden focusing on solar driven arsenic removal from contaminated ground water sources and bank filtration.
