Galina has been an interior designer and architect of the Russian space program from 1963 to 1991. Among others, she worked on the MIR and Saljut space stations, the Sojus capsule and the Buran programme. In 2015, her designs and technical drawings were published in the book "Galina Balashova - Architect of the Soviet Space Programme" by DOM Publishers.
