If you’re a less than enthusiastic housekeeper, or if the mountains of laundry grow faster than you can keep up, have we got the solution for you: the first home laundry folding machine, available for pre-order in January 2018.
I like things neat. Unfortunately, that can be a very fleeting state. Clothes in particular seem to have a mind of their own, tending to wander off and cluster in random, untidy piles in my home. And I am about as fond of folding and putting away laundry as Sisyphus was about rolling that boulder up the hill. I can’t even imagine how large families manage. But a new invention offers a ray of hope.
Starting in 2018, the new FoldiMate folding robot will be bringing order to closets near you and, depending on the number of people in your household and the amount of dirty laundry generated, saving loads of time. It skillfully transforms any t-shirts, pullovers and towels lying about into a neatly folded stack. And nicest of all, FoldiMate gently steams each item before folding it for a wrinkle-free wardrobe. Larger items like bedsheets are beyond its capacities, as are smaller articles like underpants and socks.
