Saving Buddies is an initiative promoting self-funded communities in Germany, especially among the migrant and refugee communities. It has been created by a team of multi-disciplinary professionals who have been working voluntarily on the topic since the beginning of 2015 and bring a variety of experiences to the table (civic education, sustainable financial systems and impact investing, inclusive business etc.). The team is supported by ACAF Spain, an NGO with vast experience in implementing saving groups in Spain and other European countries. SavingBuddies acts as a focal point for ACAF in Germany.
