Maja is a research policy advisor at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Being a political scientist, she advises the University's Executive Board on research policy, research strategy and strategy to increase the visibility of the scientific profile of the institution. At the end of 2015, Maja has co-founded and is currently managing director of TakecareBnB, a volunteer organisation that temporarily places refugees in Dutch host families. Maja is also a board member of the Foundation of the World Science Festival Amsterdam and a jury member of the European Social Innovation Competition.
