We literally laughed out loud when we first heard about WeSell Socks – it was one of the craziest and most useful ideas we had heard of recently.
Who isn’t familiar with the age-old problem: socks that live very independent lives. They either lose their partner, or have holes again (no matter how new they are). Of course the solution is simple: buy socks in the same color so the inevitable losses are easier to bear. But let’s be honest – that gets really boring after a while.
So we loved the idea of a monthly sock delivery, right to your door, and in wonderfully bright and funky colors!
Founded in 2014 in Toronto Canada, the company delivers worldwide. Founder has a dual mission Kevin Lee’s mission: provide a useful service and uphold social values. Lee has the socks made in South Korea by an ethical sock producer. This cost three times as much as production in China, But he can still offer customers reasonable prices at 14 dollars a month plus 5 dollars for shipping. And for every pair of socks sold, a second pair goes to someone in need in a shelter.
This is Kevin’s way of making the world just that little bit better – and it gets an enthusiastic like from us!
